The Two Legged Fiesta

As a child in the fifties, growing up on Highway 66, I remember painting all the neighbors’ white wall tires with mostly primaries and then adding a little green. I then moved on to their garage doors. I never asked what my parents had to do to make peace with the neighbors. They did save all my finger paintings in kindergarten so they must have known something was up.
I never have liked white. When I am ready to die, enter a hospital nursing home, or gods forbid, an asylum, the white will be just fine. But for now, I like to live life like a fiesta. The rooms of my new loft downtown are purple, turquoise, and chartreuse with accents of other colors such as hot pink, gold, coral, and red. I also have black walls. On my toilet is a fish tank and people get freaked figuring how not to flush the fish. I have huge bananas and monkeys in the entryway. My recent home in Clarksville was seen on HGTV, Discovery Channel and CBS Morning News.
When I am not painting, I play with my pet pig Ara, also a resident downtown with me. I also drive my pig-themed art car with a wheelbarrow on the top or my Austin car share. Believe it or not, I market and sell houses as a Real Estate Broker, going on 30 years now. That is how I support my art habit!
