A few words about our members

AFFA counts more than 150 individual members, representing a rich diversity of backgrounds and interests. We also boast business members who represent some of the finest import shops, galleries and cultural centers in Central Texas.

Some of us collect, many of us don't. What makes us "friends of folk art" is our interest in world cultures, our respect for folk artists and our desire to help keep these traditional arts alive by sharing them with an ever-wider public. It's wonderful that the process of learning together and working together to enhance the appreciation of folk art in Austin and Travis County creates a fertile environment in which to become "friends" with each other as well. You can be one, too!
